Reaserch Vessel: "PS"

The "PS" is the optimum mobile research platform for researchers and students of marine sciences. 50 feet long and 15 feet wide, the PS has an expansive main salon, private cabins, and ample outdoor deck space all around the boat. Powered by two volvo diesel engines and stand-alone diesel-electric generator.

The PS is a heavily constructed, well insulated ocean going commercial vessel built to cruise the rugged waters of Alaska. She is Coast Guard certified to carry 28 passengers in comfort and style through any kind of weather.

Amenities include a full functioning galley (kitchen), extra large dive recovery platform and ladder, head (bathroom) with shower, private spaces and lots of storage. Additionally, the PS carries a full complement of electronics and instruments to augment study projects.

She is clean, comfortable and spacious with functional decor - perfect fora wide range of assignments. Lots of windows make it easy for passengers to see the sights from anywhere on board.

Ammenities:

The PS has group sleeping accommodations for up to 14 students for overnight and multi-day expeditions. An Achilles inflatable tender can be provided for beach landings. Ample deck space available for a dozen or more kayaks.
